For the 6th MOSAIC digital release label boss Steve O’Sullivan enlists the talents of Pheek & Kike Mayor to his roster.

With the duo stretching between Canada and L.A. (via Peru), Pheek is the driving force behind the longstanding “Archipel” imprint, whilst Mayor is a pivotal player from the electronic scene in his hometown of Lima - now residing stateside.

Over the past couple of years, they have released LPs on Metroline, Ubiyu along with an LP for The Other Side.

On “Introspektiva”, you get a full complement of their production prowess over the course of these 5 tracks, carefully selected by O’Sullivan. Tight rolling rhythmic grooves tease you into extended spatial manoeuvres, bound by rich atmospherics and subtle airy layers that breathe life into their deeply panoramic dance floor aesthetics.

Kicking off with the dream like sequenced tones and garage like snap of “Aube” the duo then dip to the hypnotic sway of “Introspective Tool”, adding a lighter timbre and touch to their sonic sedition as dub aesthetics flit amid the shuffle of neatly programmed beats.

Next up is the broken roll of “Patterns”, loosely swung drums and warm pads propel the opening sequence into spaced out territory. With added sub frequencies and additional lead line ramping up the temperature as the track unfolds.

The driving thrust of “Son Coeur” accelerates even further to a heavy bassline and loose rhythmic pattern while additional layers of synthesis duck and weave around the groove.

Lastly , to round off the selection a more classically minimalist approach is taken on “007”, as an off-kilter riff takes centre stage as breathy pads creep inside the machine infused chaos.
